Welcome to my blog Living with a chronic disease!

My name is Clotilde Aubet. I’m French, live in Austria, and work as a senior HR leader. I have been living with a chronic and disabling disease for over fifteen years and use a wheelchair in my daily life.
I started this blog to share reflections on living with a chronic disease — and over time, it has evolved along with my life. Today, I write about living and working with a disability, inclusion and accessibility in the workplace, and accessible travel.
My writing is grounded in lived experience, but also shaped by my professional background in HR, organizations, and people systems. I am particularly interested in how well-intended structures can include or exclude people in practice — at work, while travelling, and in daily life.
Alongside my role in HR, I am also active as a speaker, coach and trainer on disability, inclusion, and accessibility in the workplace, as well as career transitions.
This blog is a space for reflection, observation, and sharing experiences. It is not about offering perfect solutions, but about naming realities, asking questions, and making things a bit more understandable — for ourselves and for others.
